Today I went to Goodwill with Ellen, and we spent about 2 hours wandering around and we actually tried some things one (Which usually I don't take the time to do at Goodwill). I found this dress (Some of it is cut out of the picture), it has a tie-dyed look which I like. Anyways, I didn't recognize the brand so I googled it once I got home, and found the same dress online for $84.00! What a steal-- I only paid $5.99! This is why I love junk stores.

While searching for turpentine this afternoon, I saw Dad's toolbox and I wanted to see if I could get anything cool with it. I like this shot, with more dramatic lighting I might have got something better? Who knows. Maybe I will experiment more sometime. I would have liked to get more shots with all of the stickers that I used to envy so much!

Ah, I know...the dog AGAIN. These were the only shots I got yesterday and I even posted it a day late. I better step it up. Murphy came in yesterday with the leaf stuck to him, but he didn't seem to notice. He loves bringing in sticks, wisteria pods, and other things to chew on he finds in the yard. His favorite things to chew are rocks! So I thought this was fitting.-- Happy Earth Week!

One of my best shots from the drag show tonight which was raising money for gay awareness because it's pride week. So no disrespectful comments on this photo, because they shared some pretty sad stories about getting gay bashed. (These are all real students) But anyways, it was a pretty fun atmosphere, they all lip-synced to songs and had crazy costumes and choreography. There was a whole lot of Queen and Lady Gaga-Esq songs<= is that a word?

I know this isn't much of a "photography" picture, but it was definitely the highlight of my day! Our psychology professor brought his giant lab (malamute?) mix to class today to demonstrate how animals learn. He was so cute! His name was Zeke, and he was very well behaved. He sat there watching while he taught, and he was also allowed to wander around the room, which he did for most of the class. He even started barking when someone walked in late. It was safe to say no one was paying attention to the lecture.

"I DO NOT like my baths." Murphy usually has to lay under a blanket for about an hour after his bath because he gets so cold and depressed. I used a filter on this to bring out his wet and bedraggled fur. (I know this is late again-- but I still took it yesterday:))

Today was the art walk here on campus, a lot of different artists set up booths to sell/show their work. This is Tessa's recycled scarf necklace booth! They are made up of strips of t shirts, and you pick two different colors you like, and Tessa ties them together for you and you can wear them!

Just a lazy Sunday today, and when I thought what summarized my day, it was just homework:( So I tastefully arranged what I was working on and snapped a picture of it. (Of course I don't always study with a giant globe next to me, but I thought it added a little something to the background, and also made me look smarter!)

Today my Dad Sue and I rented a three person canoe from the UW and went canoeing through the marshes and under the 520 freeway (which was kind of spooky). We ended up seeing baby ducks, turtles, geese, blue herons, and hundreds of ducks! They all came pretty close to use because they are used to being fed; and they would even nip out of our hands. This turtle is one of the last turtles up on the log because we scared away the rest of them. While we were taking pictures our canoe drifted pretty close into the log, so this turtle didn't stick around either--- but we got some pretty good pictures of him.

Murphy sure loves when I come home! I sat in the grass with him for a bit trying to get a good picture of him, which is next to impossible because he never stays still long enough! His scruffy white fur is hard to get looking crisp in the sunlight-- but I like the composition/background of this picture the best.

Ellen and I went to the chapel tower this evening to see if any light was coming through. We ended up sitting in there for awhile because it is so dark and peaceful. A man was waiting to get inside and right after we left he started singing old Lutheran hymns and his voice was just like a monk! He also started playing the organs. It was really beautiful and relaxing.

I wasn't feeling very creative today since I got sick, and by about 330 I was panicked about what to take a picture of! So as I was leaving the art room, I saw these little bubble mirrors in the display case and I decided to take a picture. After I looked at it I really like how the ceramic pot reflects backward into the mirror and beyond (same with the name card), and I also like the perspective looking down the hall. Not the best picture, but I like the idea.

Another day of oil painting...Believe it or not I have only been using this messy palette for a few weeks. Why clean it when I am just going to put more paint on it? I came back after Spring Break to discover NONE of my paintings had dried though! >:(

The Beginning of My 365 Project!

So I have decided to begin a 365 Blog. I will try to take pictures everyday, and post my best one every night! I'll have to get used to lugging around my camera case everyday, but hopefully it will be worth it. And hopefully I can remember! :-/
